A client we have worked for in the past asked us to completely redesign their garden after a recent land purchase. The garden was very overcrowded with far too many trees all fighting for light. The trees were thinned out to allow for more light, and areas were seeded to create more lawn. Laurel hedging had been left to grow over 3 metres thick, losing so much of the garden so these were removed. We changed the driveway layout and incorporated some existing hard standing and creating a raised terrace with reclaimed oak sleeper staircases. The theme then continued with raised beds in the same Oak and levelling off the lawn, new chestnut fencing and evergreen hedging finished off the look for now. The children’s playhouse works as a good reference point as you work through the images, showing just how much ground was gained into the garden.
